Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Technical Analyst to spearhead our modernization and optimization projects. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mainframe technologies to execute technical projects that improve system efficiency and performance. Your knowledge of CICS, COBOL, DB2, Host, and JCL will be crucial in transforming our mainframe environment to meet current and future business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute mainframe modernization and optimization projects, focusing on technical enhancements and system performance.
• Analyze existing mainframe systems to identify areas for improvement and modernization.
• Optimize mainframe processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement modernization strategies.
• Utilize CICS, COBOL, DB2, Host, and JCL to develop and maintain mainframe applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to mainframe systems.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in mainframe technologies and apply them to ongoing projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in mainframe technologies, focusing on technical, optimization, and modernization projects.
2. Technical Expertise:
   • CICS: Proficient in Customer Information Control System (CICS) for managing online transaction processing.
   • COBOL: Expert in COBOL programming for developing and maintaining mainframe applications.
   • DB2: Experience with DB2 for managing and optimizing mainframe databases.
   • Host: Knowledge of mainframe host systems and their integration with other technologies.
   • JCL: Proficiency in Job Control Language (JCL) for managing batch processing on mainframes.
3. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
4. Communication: Effective communication skills with a B2 level of English proficiency.
5. Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
6. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and challenges in a fast-paced environment.

You will work 100% remotely from wherever you decide. Sometimes you may have face-to-face meetings and for that reason you have to reside in Spain.
