Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Modeler & Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with Business Change Management and other stakeholders to align data architecture initiatives with current and future business plans. Your responsibilities will include defining, designing, building, and maintaining data models, providing SME input, and ensuring data solutions comply with strategic blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Business Change Management and other stakeholders to align data architecture initiatives with business plans and activities.
• Define, design, build, and maintain comprehensive data models to support business and technical requirements.
• Work closely with data architects to manage shared dependencies and ensure cohesive data architecture.
• Articulate and standardize the 'language' for data modeling within your function.
• Provide SME input into data governance activities and collaborate with technology/system architects to define appropriate data solutions.
• Work with development teams, change management, and business analysts to ensure data models align with strategic blueprints.
• Set up and manage data management and governance working groups, defining and enforcing data ownership and maintenance plans.
• Leverage data analysis skills and SQL expertise to support database design and report construction.
• Operate effectively in an enterprise agile environment, ensuring timely delivery of data solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest data solutions, including Big Data and Cloud technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Data Architecture: Extensive experience in data architecture, with a focus on designing and maintaining robust data models.
2. Data Modeling: Proven experience in data modeling, with exposure to modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect and Power Designer.
3. Banking Domain Knowledge: Understanding of transaction banking domain and end-to-end workflows for banking and trading businesses to drive conversations with business SMEs.
4. Business Analysis Skills: Well-developed business and requirements analysis skills, including strong communication abilities (both speaking and listening) and stakeholder management up to the managing director level.
5. Data Management: Experience in data management and governance, including setting up and managing working groups, defining and enforcing data ownership, and creating data maintenance plans.
6. Technical Skills: Strong data analysis skills and SQL experience, with the ability to design databases and construct reports.
7. Agile Environment: Experience working in an enterprise agile environment, ensuring agile practices are followed.
8. Data Solutions Knowledge: Basic understanding of the latest data solutions, including Big Data and Cloud technologies.

You will work 100% remotely from wherever you decide. Sometimes you may have face-to-face meetings and for that reason you have to reside in Spain.
