Responsibilities:

  • Refactor and improve legacy processes to increase efficiency, eliminate obsolescence, and migrate to AWS Cloud .
  • Collaborate on data solutions, ensuring smooth and scalable operations for large data volumes.
  • Optimize Spark processes and resolve memory or performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement best practices in software engineering for sustainable development.
  • Collaborate with the team through CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Develop SQL queries and manage complex data operations.

Mandatory Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Spark/Scala Developer, working with large data sets and performing complex transformations.
  • Proven experience with distributed computing and performance tuning in Spark.
  • Ability to identify and solve memory management issues in Spark processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL with the ability to handle medium-to-complex queries.
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools (eg, Git, Jenkins).
  • Spanish fluency.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of Python .
  • Experience with AWS services (S3, EMR, EC2, Lambda).
  • English proficiency (B1 or higher).

You will work 100% remotely from wherever you decide. Sometimes you may have face-to-face meetings and for that reason you have to reside in Spain or in the European Union.
