DevOps Security Specialist – Cybersecurity & Security Architecture

Job Description:

As a Security Specialist, you will work alongside security architects and project teams to validate security designs, perform risk assessments, and define security requirements. Your role will involve ensuring that security best practices are integrated into cloud and on-premise infrastructures, supporting DevSecOps initiatives, and guiding teams through secure software development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support security architecture by validating designs, assessing risks, and defining security requirements.
  • Perform threat assessments and risk evaluations for IT security initiatives.
  • Ensure security best practices in cloud (Azure, AWS, OpenShift) and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Provide security guidance throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Implement security monitoring, observability, and compliance solutions.
  • Contribute to DevSecOps automation with security checks in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support data security strategies for encryption, confidentiality, and compliance (e.g., PII data protection).
  • Work with IAM standards and authentication models (e.g., SAML2, OAuth2, OIDC).
  • Apply best practices from security frameworks such as ISO2700X, NIST, Mitre ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, DevOps, or Security Architecture.
  •  Knowledge of IT security principles, cloud security models, and network protection.
  •  Experience working with Security Architecture teams and validating security designs.
  •  Understanding of cloud security in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
  •  Experience securing cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OpenShift Container Platform).
  •  Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and practices, such as DAST, SAST, SCA, and secure CI/CD.
  •  Strong understanding of IAM, authentication, and authorization best practices.
  •  Knowledge of data security throughout its lifecycle (in use, transit, at rest).

You will work 100% remotely from wherever you decide. Sometimes you may have face-to-face meetings and for that reason you have to reside in Spain or in the European Union.
